International Market Research

Before entering a new country market, you need to collect the right data. We prepare comprehensive research reports on demand size, competitor landscape, customer profile, pricing and regulatory framework in target countries.

Common Challenges

1

No clear information on which country market to enter

2

Competitive structure and price levels in the target country are unknown

3

Lacking resources or methods to understand the international customer profile

4

Legal regulations and customs barriers in the export destination country are unclear

5

Sector data and market size estimates cannot be sourced from reliable sources

For companies new to exporting or wishing to diversify their existing markets, the most critical first step is market research. Choosing the wrong country or misjudging market conditions can come at a serious cost.

International market research typically consists of several main sections. Market size and demand analysis: how large is the market for your product or service in the target country and how fast is it growing? This section analyses trade data, import/export statistics and sector reports. Competitive analysis: who are the local and international competitors in the target market, how are they positioned, and what do pricing and distribution channels look like? Customer profile: who is the buyer in the target country, by what criteria do they make decisions, and how does the purchasing process work? Legal and operational framework: product or service-specific standards, certification requirements, customs rates and possible incentive mechanisms.

At Multiligo, we have experience in sectors with high export potential from Turkey and in markets that Turkish companies frequently target (the UK, Germany, Gulf countries, Central Asia). This experience provides context that adds value to the research: beyond the numbers, what is actually working on the ground?

In addition to the research report, we also provide an entry strategy recommendation: which channel (distributor, direct sales, e-export platform, local partnership) and with what prioritisation you should enter the market. This is the step that converts research into action.

How We Work

1

International market research is conducted as a consulting project — there is no standard template. Each research piece is customised according to the target sector, target country and your business model.

2

We start with desk research: trade statistics, sector reports, public databases, competitor analysis and scanning of digital channels. In this phase we use sources such as ITC Trade Map, Eurostat, industry association reports and Google Trends.

3

Where needed, we conduct primary research: interviews with potential customers, distributors or business partner candidates in the target country, surveys and qualitative data collection via digital channels. When the research is complete, we present a summarised, visually supported report designed to enable your managers to make decisions quickly.
